Returns
In accordance with the Consumer Rights Protection Law (PTAL) of the Republic of Latvia and Cabinet of Ministers Regulation No. 255 of 20 May 2014 "Regulations on Distance Contracts", you have the right to withdraw from goods purchased online within 14 calendar days without giving a reason. You can submit your withdrawal request electronically using the online returns form.
The right of withdrawal applies only to goods purchased under a distance contract (online). It does not apply to goods purchased in person at our warehouse. The right of withdrawal does not apply to legal entities.
Return period
The withdrawal period is 14 calendar days, counted from the day after you receive the goods. To meet the deadline, it is enough to submit your withdrawal request before the 14-day period expires.
How to submit a withdrawal request
You can submit your withdrawal request electronically in one of the following ways:
- Registered users - open the relevant order in your profile and click the "Return items" button at the bottom of the page.
- All customers (including those without registration) - open the link to your order sent to your email, or request a new link via the returns form by entering your email address and order number. We will send a link to the return form to your email.
The returns form is available here: returns form.
The return form shows all the items in your order. You can:
- select which items you want to return;
- state the reason for the return;
- optionally add photos and a further description;
- see the approximate refund amount.
After submitting your request you will receive a confirmation by email. Once we have reviewed it, we will let you know whether the goods can be returned and what to do next.
If you cannot use the electronic form, you can also exercise your right of withdrawal by downloading the withdrawal form, filling it in and sending it to us by email at info@rigasriepas.lv: download the withdrawal form.
Return conditions
For a return to be accepted, the tyres must meet all of the following conditions:
- The tyres must not have been used - you may only inspect them and check their characteristics, just as you could in a shop before purchase. Used tyres cannot be returned.
- The tyres must not be mechanically or visually damaged.
- A proof of purchase (invoice or delivery note) must be enclosed.
- A withdrawal request must be submitted via the electronic returns form (see "How to submit a withdrawal request").
Under Section 12, Paragraph 6 of the PTAL, you are responsible for preserving the quality and safety of the goods during the withdrawal period. If the value of the goods has decreased because they were used more than necessary to check their characteristics, we are entitled to deduct the decrease in value from the refund.
Return procedure
- Submit a withdrawal request via the returns form (see "How to submit a withdrawal request"). This must be done within 14 days of receiving the goods.
- Deliver the tyres to our warehouse at Slokas iela 55, Rīga, no later than 14 days after sending your withdrawal request. If you paid for delivery on your order, we will cover the cost of the return shipping; there is no extra charge if you hand the tyres in at the warehouse in person.
- Refund - once we have received the goods and checked their condition, we will refund the amount you paid, including the original delivery costs (up to the cost of the cheapest standard delivery), within 14 days at the latest. The refund will be made to the same bank account the payment was made from.
When the right of withdrawal does not apply
In accordance with Clause 22 of Cabinet Regulation No. 255, the right of withdrawal cannot be exercised if:
- the tyres have been used (mounted or driven on);
- the tyres have been mechanically or otherwise damaged after receipt;
- the tyres were purchased in person (not online);
- the buyer is a legal entity.
